In 1995, Lapostolle decided to make its Chardonnay wines only from the Casablanca area, and therefore started buying Chardonnay grapes from a grower established in the coldest area of the Valley.  The low fertility of the franc sandy solids and the cooler growing conditions of the place are naturally limiting the yields of this grower Chardonnay vines established on 40 has in 1992.  Our classic Chardonnay is mainly produced here.
